An availability request reserves a date without committing you to anything. It is free, it is not binding, and it contains no price, duration or contract — it simply tells the performer you are interested in that date and marks the date as reserved on their calendar. How to send one: 1. Open the performer's profile and click “Check availability” — or click the date you want straight in the availability calendar. 2. Pick the date. A request covers a whole day — there is no time to choose. 3. Name your event, write a short message to the performer and send the request. You can ask about any upcoming date, even one that already looks taken — if there is a conflict we tell you about it, but we never block a request. The performer answers Yes or No, and you are notified either way. You can cancel a request at any time, free of charge.
An availability request never becomes a real booking on its own — you always confirm it yourself in four steps: 1. Sign in and go to “My Events”, where your requests are listed. 2. Find the request and click “Send binding booking request”. 3. Fill in the actual booking details: start time, duration, venue and any other information. You will see the final price before you send anything. 4. Send the request. The performer confirms it and you receive a confirmation by email. You can do this at any point, even before the performer has answered. Please note: a performer saying they are available is not yet a booking — only a booking request that the performer confirms is binding on both sides.
Until the event date you picked. The performer's answer does not change that, and there is no separate confirmation deadline before the event. If you have not sent the actual booking request by then, the availability request lapses automatically: the date is released back to the performer and both of you are notified by email. Lapsed and cancelled requests remain visible under “Cancelled” in My Events, and you can always send a new one if the date is still free.
